Salt Leaks
AKA "Drop-off Pictures"
|
Hey fellow salt shakers! I wanted to share another idea for leaks. My mom and I had cut these stars out for a different project years ago and just didn't get around to it. So we took them and painted them and kept a few for ourselves, but leaked a few to others and have 3 more to give out! I'm praying about where they should go. But I just wanted to share another idea for leaks! Blessings!

"I made my first salt leak today, but I forgot to take a picture first. It is a painting I did a number of years ago and I made a little poem to go with it. The painting is of a girl in a white dress sitting in the grass. At her back it is daylight and the sun is shining. At her front it is nighttime, but a street lamp is shining on her face. The simple poem is: In darkest night or warm & bright, the light of His Love shines for you."

My first Salty Sidewalks project! Tissue pack covers, in case you are wondering what is inside! smile emoticon Took about 10 min. to make out of scrap fabric and old buttons! I knew I was saving those buttons all these years for some reason! I presented SS to our senior adults yesterday at our weekly fellowship meeting and had 6 ladies sign up to help spread the gospel through SS! Praising Him today! Praying for all my sisters (and brothers) who are helping in this awesome outreach!
Hey friends. I did the backgrounds on these three little tags last night. I was going out this morning to do some errands, but before I left, I heard a little God whisper. I'm so thankful He does that for us! I felt compelled to finish them before I left. I ended up mailing one to a friend, abandoning one at Walgreens in my hometown, and handing one to the girl at the window at Dunkin Donuts, also in my hometown!
Turned out to be a total of 415!!!!!! We divided them up between safe houses, food banks, military hospital, nursing homes and have a couple bags waiting for God to say, "go there" In response to this generous outpouring of creative love, one of our members said, "I'm inspired just looking at all these what a blessing and so much care put into them. I pray the kingdom grows and lives are changed in big God ways. Thank you for your servant hearts"
My contribution as part of the Salty Sidewalks workshop group at Thomas Road Baptist Church. As posted by ....... these will be distributed though various Christmas and church outreaches.
Some of the non-floral, bolder color bookmarks seem suitable for men. Alrighty, my husband and I got some more leaks done tonight. Please be praying they bring hope that's eternal to the recipients. I'm working on some geared to men soon also. Please post your pictures of your leaks so I can get some ideas! I love seeing everyone's creativity come out and pray over your leaks as well! Blessings!
This past weekend, at a retreat called, "A Place Called Abundance" , SS was able to gift the participants of the retreat...And...to provide salt leaks for 60 bags filled with hope. The idea? Each participant was to take 1-2 bags and hit the streets, with a mission of abundance for the least of these. His hands and feet reaching out into our communities, the Gospel sprouting feet, while His Gospel of truth was tucked inside the bags, through SS. Yay God! Lord, we pray for each person that receives a bag, that they would know of Your abundant love and care.
Our Salty Sidewalk workshop this morn at Thomas Road Baptist Church! Our goal is to have 300 bookmarks by Thanksgiving to distribute in a variety of Christmas, church outreaches! Today we made 100!
